Meet dr. Katherine Lee
You’ve invested so much in your academic career and come far on the tenure track.
Yet somehow you feel undervalued and burned out.
You wonder … is this all there is?
I hear you. You want to be at an institution that appreciates what you have to offer. You want more time to do your research and make a larger impact.
But you feel stuck and don’t know who to turn to.
That’s where I come in.
In my first years as a professor, I devoted myself to teaching and service. I struggled to find the balance and mind space to work on my manuscript. Later, I found myself in a toxic and dysfunctional work environment that sapped my energy and my spirit.
Then a health scare helped me decide to make a career pivot. I explored my curiosities and my values and knew that higher ed could not serve me in the meaningful way that I had served it. I learned what was possible for the longer story of my life and leveraged my past experiences into helping WOC faculty like you.
Whether you ramp up your academic career or pivot out of higher ed, now it’s your turn.
