Workshops and Speaking

I facilitate several engaging workshops for both graduate students and faculty in higher education.

These 90-minute workshops may be held on Zoom or in person.

Starting from the initial consultation, I work closely with you to tailor the workshop content to your target group (e.g., graduate students in Asian studies or 1st year BIPOC faculty).

I curate and facilitate focused discussions to help provide clarity on the topics at hand as well as offer strategies that help illuminate the next steps for each participant.

Additionally, I lead a series of focused workshops for faculty who are navigating elder caregiving duties while also working on a specific writing goal.

The “Writing Support for Faculty Caregivers” program was successfully piloted in July 2026. Groups are intentionally small (2-6 people), so that faculty can receive full support from me as well as develop connections with the other participants. Groups will run on a rolling basis, so interested faculty can reach out to me via the form below.

I am also an experienced keynote speaker.

While most of my previous speaking engagements were during my time as a professor, I have been offering 2 signature keynotes since the launch of Rise with Clarity.

Occasionally, I present lectures related to my research on Korean music and culture, which has been recognized with numerous awards. Research topics have included the globalization of the South Korean samul nori percussion genre, the sonic dimensions of a nation branding campaign, the drumming of dissent during South Korea’s democratization movement, and the complex intersections of faith-based humanitarianism, Christian benevolence, US/Korea relations, and the systematization of adoption from South Korea, amplified through the World Vision Korean Orphan Choir.
